Telen Rivers

Mahakam River is the name of a river in the province's largest
East Kalimantan, which empties into the Strait of Makassar. River length
This approximately 920 km across the region in the West Kutai District
upstream, to the Regency and at the Samarinda City
downstream. In the rivers of living species of mammals are threatened freshwater fish
extinct, namely Pesut Mahakam.

Mahakam River until now had always played an important role in
life in the surrounding community as a source of water, fisheries potential
as well as transportation infrastructure.

Mahakam River has several tributaries, among them:

* River Belayan
* Lawa River
* River outstretched Head
* Telen River
* River Tenggarong
* Sungai Karang Mumus
